1. Do I need to pay any fee to use ForisHub services?
The services provided by ForisHub.com are completely free of charge, except for those schools which require extra support.
2. What does the term ‘Direct Online Application’ mean?
Your online application, submitted through ForisHub, is emailed directly to the admissions office responsible for handling student applications at your school. The school contacts the applicant directly and all communication and correspondence pre-arrival is between the student and the school.
3. What are the advantages of online applications?
Online applications are easy to understand and can be submitted by anyone in a fast and efficient manner. ForisHub’s online application system will not send your application until it is complete saving the applicant and school the time correcting any mistakes. Students can be confident as the ForisHub staff tracks and confirms all applications sent to schools.
4. How will I know whether the school I applied to has received my online application?
A confirmation e-mail is sent to you immediately once your school’s admissions office has received your application. Generally, schools begin processing student applications within 72 hours of their submission.
How will my online application look to the school’s admissions office?
Your online application is sent directly by e-mail to the individual responsible for handling student applications at your school. Your personal information is clearly presented to the school’s admissions office in a standard format which can be viewed and printed out easily in multiple formats.
5. What is the next step I need to take after submitting my application online?
Once you submit your application online, wait until you receive an e-mail response from your school’s admissions office. In their reply, the admissions office will include information they need from you to complete the application process. Follow your school’s instructions carefully regarding the fees you will need to pay and additional documents required for admission into their program.
6. If I want to cancel my application, what do I need to do?
If you want to cancel your application, be sure to contact us or your school’s admissions office as soon as possible by telephone or e-mail explaining your intent. Also write and send an official letter of cancellation as soon as possible. Be sure to contact the same person who initially responded to your application. Keep in mind that letters can be sent abroad in only a few days with express mail service. When informing your school of your cancellation decision, provide the admissions office with your full name, enrollment identification number (if known), the date you applied to the program and the course starting date. In most cases of cancellation, your application fee and deposit will not be refundable. Be sure to ask your school about its refund policies if you have already paid your tuition and other fees.
7. Do programs have application deadlines?
Some programs, especially university-based English programs, have an application deadline and stop receiving student applications after a specific date. Before applying to an English program, realistically consider all the necessary steps that will be required to process your application in terms of obtaining your student visa, sending your financial statement and, if you do not already have one, applying for a passport. Since it can take up to four weeks to process all the required documents, we strongly suggest you apply at least 8 to 10 weeks prior to the starting date of your English course.
8. Do I need to pay a second application fee if I apply to two different courses?
You do not need to pay an additional application fee if the two courses you are considering are offered at the same school. ForisHub advises all students to apply to only one course at your chosen school. Once you arrive at your school, if your visa allows, you may be permitted to extend the length of your study or change your course. If the two different courses you wish to apply to are at two separate schools, you will be required to pay a separate application fee for each school’s course.
9. Do I need to have my own credit card to pay the school’s application fee?
No, you do not need to have your own credit card to pay your school’s application fee. However, if you must use the credit card of your family member, relative or close friend, be sure to ask permission prior to using their card to pay your program’s application fee to avoid any misunderstanding later on.
10. How do I make corrections to my application after I have already submitted it online?
If you need to make corrections to your application after submitting it online, simply contact us or your school’s admissions office as soon as possible. When contacting your school, be sure to contact the person who responded to your application initially and provide them with your full name, enrollment identification number, the date you applied and the course starting date so that you can receive a prompt response to your request. Make sure to clearly state the mistake on your application and explain the correction that needs to be made.
